Many truck batteries supplied by our competitors last on average 1½ years or less and are causing increased down time and unnecessary service/maintenance cost for freight companies, farmers, bus companies, mining companies and government departments. There are many factors why truck batteries have a short service life. One of the main reasons is because most other battery companies in Australia use expanded grid or hybrid technology. These are modern manufacturing techniques (to save manufacturing costs) used to produce batteries with good specifications however battery life is significant reduced compared to Die Cast Grid Technology. Realising this gap in the market, Super Start took the development of truck batteries further and made them with Extra Thick Marine Grade Plates and Glass Matt Envelope Separators increasing their service life even more and making them better resistant to vibration. We also introduced unique state-of-the-art fluid displacement technology which stops separation of fluid from the plates that is caused by vibration, stops overheating of the battery, loss of fluid and significantly increases the cycle & service life of the battery. Unlike most of our competitors Super Start does not use cheap manufacturing techniques like expanded grid to achieve similar CCA and RC specifications as it reduces service life. We are one of Australia’s only battery companies that use Die Cast Grid Technology not to mention the cutting edge technology that we use to make our truck batteries the best truck battery in Australia. This quality however does add to the manufacturing costs of the battery and thus the initial price to the customer and you may pay a little more initially. Having said this though our truck batteries actually costs the customer far less after you consider downtime, service life, replacement costs and service costs due to the simple fact that our truck batteries last at least twice as long as any other truck batteries available in Australia.
