The RS 230 lithium-ion battery offers high performance together with the highest safety standards. This LiFePO4 based battery is a Lloyds Type approved module. The RS 230 has PowerLok shielded connectors. Furthermore, it contains a professional liquid thermal management system and a unique patented cell level propagation protection system. The combination of these safety and performance features make the RS battery suitable for large energy storage applications as well as smaller peak power packs. This makes the RS Series an extraordinary high performance battery module for hybrid or electric vehicles, vessels, industrial machinery and solar off-grid applications. Thanks to the modular design, easily create 48 up to 900 Vdc systems to power all sorts of applications. Features:
Specifications:
* Current is depending on battery temperature and state of charge. Duration is depending on battery temperature.
Exhaust System: A patented pressure relief exhaust connection is fitted in each RS battery. In case of a thermal runaway, the exhaust system automatically channels the released gasses to a safe area. Propagation System: The battery enclosure includes a PPS connection. In case of a single cell thermal runaway event, this propagation protection system fills the battery with a fluid to remove the heat as quickly as possible. By doing so, this mechanism prevents other cells from overheating. This solution mitigates the risk of large uncontrolled battery fires.
Battery Management System: To ensure a high safety standard, each RS battery module comes with an integrated Battery Management System. This is an intelligent electronic module called a slave BMS. This slave BMS measures all cell voltages and temperatures inside the battery module. It controls balancing on both cell and module level, which is unique in the market. The slave BMS in each battery module communicates with an MG Master BMS. Via a galvanic isolated CAN-Bus the MG Master collects and monitors the status of all battery modules. If the measured values from a battery module exceed the limit, the MG Master will automatically take action to protect all of the connected battery modules. High Voltage Interlock Loop: A High Voltage Interlock Loop (HVIL) is a critical safety feature in electric and hybrid applications. The HVIL ensures that high-voltage components are safely isolated during maintenance. By using a low-voltage loop to monitor the integrity of high-voltage connections, HVIL can immediately disconnect power if a fault is detected. This prevents electrical hazards and enhances overall system reliability
PowerLok: The PowerLok connectors on the RS 230 contribute to its robust design and high performance. These connectors are ideal for electric and hybrid applications. The connectors allow the RS 230 to be installed in series offering a voltage range up to 900 Vdc and 300 A. Key features like IP67 sealing and 360° shielding, combined with a wide range of cable diameters, make them versatile for various applications.
System flexibility is one of the key features of all MG products. Combine the RS High Performance Batteries together with one or more MG Masters and create a powerful system for a complete range of applications. The RS battery modules can be connected in series and in parallel to meet the required system voltage and capacity. The possible voltage range for a single string is 51 Vdc up to 900 Vdc. Connect multiple strings in parallel to increase the capacity of your battery bank. In order to create a redundant system, connect two or more MG Masters in parallel and use the SmartLink MX. The MG SmartLink MX and PLC provide the necessary controls to start, stop and reset the battery system. It also makes combined battery data available in such a way that parallel connected systems are shown as one battery bank.
